Flood Sedimentology for Future Floods Mitigation in North Luwu, Sulawesi, Indonesia

A sedimentological study after the flash floods that hit North Luwu on July 13, 2020, has been carried out three affected rivers, namely Masamba River, Radda and Binuang River. The aims to determine impact of 2020 flood disaster, including sedimentation rate, annual bedload sediment volume, total sediments, which will be used as a reference for future mitigation consideration. is based fieldwork data collection laboratory analysis. results field measurements analysis are then processed by calculating rate at discharge, estimated accumulated flood. Sedimentation was performed using Ackers-White formula, delineation HEC-RAS software. climatological from climatology station Andi Djemma Airport were calculate river discharge. It volume in River 16,194,168 m3/year, 7,852,061 4,003,011 m3/year. brought 9,141,608.39 m3, while 55,131,761.29 136,838,603.61 m3. generated rivers 222,476,966 Based study, zonation vulnerability levels designed scheme. can classified into zones: 1) highly zone; 2) moderately 3) least zone, with special purposes each zone. strongly recommended disaster settlement infrastructure reconstruction policies this zone reduce risk.
